Overland Trail

Gotta get out of the city man, and if you happen to be in Caroline County of Virginia, Overland Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Overland Trail is a long drive away from Richmond but hiking it is great fun any time. A tour to Overland Trail wouldn’t be complete without a journey to nearby Purse State Park. There's so much to do here at Overland Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Campground 721 is a splendid place for
that. Time spent at Clifton Beach close to Overland Trail is always great; if you have the time, Prince William Forest Park is a national park worth checking out. If you came to camp Hidden Acres Family Campground is a wonderful location
to do that, and there are plenty of people from Rappahannock Academy here. Whitewater paddling is good on Rappahannock River, and get drenched paddling on Aquia Creek. You believe that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Overland Trail is a good place of typical precipitation. Most of the rain falls throughout May, and February is the month with the least moisture. Throughout the long summer days highs here at Overland Trail reach the 80's, and throughout
the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; nighttime lows through the winter for Overland Trail tend to be in the 20's.
