Sand Spring Mountain Trail

  A long drive separates Staunton-Waynesboro from Sand Spring Mountain Trail, but It's always fun to hike here. This part of Virginia is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. You're sure to come across some wonderful folks from Mount Solon here. Whitewater paddling is great on Little River - North R. Tributary; hey, Hog Run is a great local stream. If you donít have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Briery Branch. Looking
    for some flowing water? Try Mines Run. There's so much to do here at Sand Spring Mountain Trail that you need to camp here for a while, North River Campground is a wonderful spot for that. Briery Branch Dam is a gorgeous place in
close proximity to Sand Spring Mountain Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Sand Spring Mountain Trail has to offer, you can camp at Stokesville Park Recreational. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the neighborhood of Sand Spring Mountain Trail will keep you coming back many times. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Sand Spring Mountain Trail while night lows are generally in the 50's. All through the wintertime this place  
gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Sand Spring Mountain Trail are in the 10's. The amount of rain that falls at Sand Spring Mountain Trail is close to the national average. July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is January.
