  A visit to Virginia is not complete without some hiking. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Seay Trail. Seay Trail is a nice site to camp, Long's Campground is a nice site. This is a really good river. Camping at Seay Trail is perfect fun, Cold Sulphur Camp Ground is a perfect local campground, and Goshen Dam is not far at all from Seay Trail.
Calfpasture River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by, and nearby you find Snead Hollow which is a wonderful place to stop at. Visit Guys Run if you're here at Seay
    Trail, and a pleasant trip to The Pastures is a brilliant way to spend an afternoon. Paddling on Laurel Run is so much fun, and of course Chinquapin Branch is a scenic stream that is worth checking out.
At Seay Trail all through the warmest time of the year highs are in the
80's. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are frequently in the 30's with temperatures at Seay Trail dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. All the water falling down from the sky makes Seay Trail a wet site; the wettest month of the year is regularly July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is December.
