| | Hiking trails are all over the Blue Ridge Mountains, it's a great hiking area. Gotta get out of the city man, and Shawl Gap Trail in Warren County, Virginia is a great place to go. So much cool stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just striking. A perfect spot close to Shawl Gap Trail is Shawl Gap. There's so much to do here at Shawl Gap Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Skyline Ranch Resort is a splendid place for that. For the duration of the days of summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Shawl Gap Trail while night lows are mostly in |
the 50's. Through the winter highs are typically in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Shawl Gap Trail are in the 10's.
If you came to camp Deerpoint Campground is a fine site to do that. Whitewater paddling is great on Gooney Run, and taking a little visit to nearby
| Blue Hole is a good idea. No chance of getting bored in Virginia if you like the outdoors.
If time allows, Shenandoah National Park is a national park worth stopping at; Passage Creek has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby. The yearly precipitation here at Shawl Gap Trail is about average; through the month of July you get the most rain around here; February is the month with the least moisture.
