| | You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while and Shore Trail in Rockbridge County, Virginia is a great place to go. Glendye Branch is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit, and the scenery at Goshen Dam is pretty. During the warm months at Shore Trail temperatures are usually in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; night lows in the 10's for Shore Trail.

that you need to camp here for a while, Long's Campground is a nice location for that, and Hickory Hollow is also a splendid place to discover. Stay the night at Cold Sulphur Camp Ground; paddling on Calfpasture River is so much fun. Shore Trail sees pretty high levels of rainfall;
| during July this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is December.
Soar down the rapids of Maury River in a kayak; Kelso Spring Branch is in the vicinity of Shore Trail and is always a diversion to stop at. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location.
