| | Finally, hiking time is here again, and Shore Trail in Rockbridge County, Virginia is such a great place. Shore Trail is located quite a long drive from Staunton-Waynesboro but it is a really good trail. Visit Glendye Branch since you're here at Shore Trail, and Shore Trail is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Cold Sulphur Camp Ground is a wonderful place to camp nearby.
There's some out of the ordinary stuff to observe at Goshen Dam next to Shore Trail, and Shore Trail is near Hickory Hollow which is undeniably worth checking out. |
Shore Trail gets a great deal of water; July is the month that gets the most rain; December on the other hand is the driest. Stay the night at Long's Campground; there's whitewater on Calfpasture River for all you thrill seekers.
Kelso Spring Branch is a lovely stream that
| is worth checking out; get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Maury River. Just can't get enough of Shore Trail. Through the long summer days at Shore Trail highs are regularly in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; night lows through the wintertime for Shore Trail tend to be in the 10's.
