at Turk Mountain Trail is Misty Mountain Camp Resort; if you want a little side journey, try Turk Gap. During the warm months at Turk Mountain Trail highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's; through
| the dark hours in the wintertime at Turk Mountain Trail temperatures dip to the 10's.
While you're here at Turk Mountain Trail you will meet lots of folks from nearby Charlottesville. Virginia is a great outdoors state. The yearly precipitation here at Turk Mountain Trail is about average; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest.
