| | Hey, time for a hike don’t you think? if you happen to be in Augusta County of Virginia, Walker Mountain Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. This part of Virginia is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. Near Walker Mountain Trail you come across Back Draft which is a tremendous location to go to; if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Calfpasture River.
Long's Campground is a good campground here. Walker Mountain Trail gets a lot of water; most of the rain falls during July, |
and the driest month of the year is December. If you came for an overnight stay Cold Sulphur Camp Ground is a perfect location to camp; Calfpasture River is a good whitewater spot close by.
High temperatures at Walker Mountain Trail during the long summer days are in the 80's
