  Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the Green Mountains, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. A long drive separates Bennington from Branch Pond Trail, but trails like these are great. High temperatures at Branch Pond Trail through the days of summer are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs all through the winter are regularly in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Branch Pond Trail.
