  Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and Dalley Loop Trail in Washington County, Vermont is a great place to go. The annual precipitation here at Dalley Loop Trail is about average; August is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is February. It's a long drive from Barre to Dalley Loop Trail but it is one of many great trails in this area.
Dalley Loop Trail is a magnificent location to camp, Duxbury Campground is a magnificent location, and in case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on
    Little River. This part of Vermont is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. The warmest time of the year at Dalley Loop Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 60's while overnight lows are frequently in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 10's
with temperatures at Dalley Loop Trail dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights.
That right there is lots of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Green Mountains has it all. Camping at Dalley Loop Trail is glorious fun, Gold Brook Campground is a glorious local campground; Ridley Brook has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot nearby. Hiking trails are all over the Green Mountains, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains.
Why not go to Waterbury Dam while you're here, and you're sure to run into some wonderful people from Barre here.
