  You'll have to go far from Bennington to get to Deerfield Trail but when you hike it you're always having a good time. This river is always fun. There are some good whitewater spots on Roaring Branch, and a pleasant trip to Shep Meadow is a pleasant way to spend an afternoon. Hiking trails are all over the Green Mountains where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains.
In Vermont you never run out of outdoors fun. Visit Black Brook since you're here at Deerfield Trail. Be careful coming to the Green Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home
    again. Stay the night at Red Mill Brook Campground; at Deerfield Trail you always meet someone from Bennington.
