  In the Green Mountains you'll find lots of hiking trails where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. While visiting this area in Vermont it's a good idea to go hiking too. All year is a magnificent time in the Green Mountains if you love the outdoors. If you came for an overnight stay United States Forest Service Mount Moosalamoo Campground is a great place to camp, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Otter Creek. A long drive separates Rutland from Duval Trail, but trails like these are great.
A forest next to Duval
    Trail is Goshen Municipal Forest, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Middlebury River. During the warm days of summer highs here at Duval Trail reach the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs through the wintertime
are generally in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Duval Trail.
