There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Green Mountains, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. Long Trail gets a normal amount of precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. You definitely have to have a thing about the Green Mountains. This is a popular place for people from Rutland; paddling on New Haven River is so much fun. Hiking here in Vermont is a must. in the 80's to Long Trail. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Long Trail. Long Trail is located quite a long drive from Rutland but hiking is such a fun thing to do and this
| is a great place to do that. Middlebury River has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot nearby, and why not camp at United States Forest Service Mount Moosalamoo Campground if you're here at Long Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Moosalamoo Campground is a magnificent place to camp.
