  Old Stage Trail is a long drive away from Bennington but many people like to hike here to be close to nature. We all need to get out in nature once in a while and Old Stage Trail in Bennington County, Vermont is a great place to go. Deerfield River - West Branch has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Clarksburg State Park is a nice campground nearby. During your tour to Old Stage Trail you'll meet some folks from Bennington for sure, and Bugbee Pond Dam has pleasant water scenery.
This part of Vermont is always a pleasure to visit during hiking
    season. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Walloomsac River; if you came for an overnight stay Red Mill Brook Campground is a great spot to camp.
Through the warmest time of the year at Old Stage Trail highs are regularly
in the 80's, and the night is slightly chillier of course, typically in the 50's.
