Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Lamoille River, and a tour to The Long Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Big Spring. And that's not all you can do here at The Long Trail. Not far from The Long Trail you can enjoy the trees of Mount Mansfield State Forest. The high level of rain makes The Long Trail a quite wet place; throughout August this area sees the most rain while February is commonly the driest month. The     Long Trail is not very near Burlington-South Burlington at all but hiking along this trail is very enjoyable. If you came for an overnight stay Brewster River Campground is a fine place to camp; Bingham Falls is an inspiring location to visit while here. These mountains rock, just look at all the amusing stuff to do in the Green Mountains. Camping at The Long Trail is delightful fun, Gold Brook Campground is a delightful local campground, and since you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Burlington-South Burlington. The Long Trail is close to Smugglers Notch which is positively worth checking out, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Little River - West Branch. When was the last time you got out in nature a bit? The Long Trail in Lamoille County, Vermont is a really good place to spend some time.   Summertime at The Long Trail comes with high temperatures in the 80's; the overnight is fairly chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; night lows through the winter for The Long Trail tend to be in the 0's.
