  West Shore Trail is located quite a long drive from Burlington-South Burlington but hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. A visit to Vermont is not complete without some hiking. Camping at Campbells Bay Campground is always a pleasant experience, and during your visit here you'll meet some people from Burlington-South Burlington for sure.
Eagle Bay is not far from West Shore Trail at all, and if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Browns River. From a rain point of view
    West Shore Trail is a pretty normal spot; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is January. Whitewater paddling is good on Salmon River; if you came to camp Carry Bay Campground and Cottages is a good place to
do that.
All through the days of summer highs here at West Shore Trail reach the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 20's while West Shore Trail night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's.
