Back Ridge Trail

  Hiking in West Virginia is such a great thing to do. You'll have to go far from Staunton-Waynesboro to get to Back Ridge Trail but it is a great escape from the city. Visit Elk Run since you're here at Back Ridge Trail. Potomac River - North Fork of South Branch is a tremendous whitewater spot near Back Ridge Trail, and obviously Hemlock Run is a scenic stream that is worth stopping at. You can run the rapids of Big Run River in the vicinity of Back Ridge Trail;
    at Back Ridge Trail you always meet someone from Circleville. Everybody loves Monongahela National Forest, and Spruce Knob Lake Campground is a wonderful local campground. A trip to Big Spring will fill your soul with magnificent
feelings. Gatewood Group Campground is a great campground nearby, and if you're here why not pop by Leonard Spring Hollow. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool things the area near Back Ridge Trail has to offer. Summer at Back Ridge Trail comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Back Ridge Trail. Back  
Ridge Trail ordinarily gets a large amount of precipitation. During the month of July you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February.
