You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while and Cranberry Ridge Trail in Webster County, West Virginia is just the place. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Cranberry River, and a wonderful place to camp here at Cranberry Ridge Trail is Big Rock Campground.
Some of the water close by flows, like Glade Run, and camping is available at Cranberry Campground. Cranberry Ridge Trail sees pretty high levels |
of precipitation; July is the month that gets the most rain; January on the other hand is the driest. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Gauley River; the scenery at Glade Run Lake Dam is scenic.

| the nighttime is slightly chillier of course, commonly in the 60's. Through the winter highs are frequently in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Cranberry Ridge Trail. A river like this is too good to miss. Looking for some flowing water? Try Bear Run, and a tremendous spot is Rich Hollow. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Cranberry Ridge Trail.
