| | West Virginia is a great outdoors state. High Rock Trail is a very long way away from civilization and when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. Big Run Gap is a great location to spend some time at, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Little Kanawha River. High Rock Trail sees pretty high levels of rainfall; July is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

Big Run is a great local stream, and get soaked paddling on Holly River - Left Fork. But wait, there's more to do near High Rock Trail. Crooked Fork is a wonderful place to go to.
