  Horton Trail is very far from the nearest big city and there's great natural beauty awaiting you along it. If you are in West Virginia during hiking season you have to go hiking. If you came to camp Judy Springs Campground is a great location to do that, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Waites Run. At this river you will always have a good time.
For the period of the long summer days here at Horton Trail, high temperatures generally reach the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. All through the wintertime
    the highs are commonly in the 30's, and night lows through the winter for Horton Trail tend to be in the 10's. Horton Trail is a wet place that gets a great deal of rainfall; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
Horton Trail
is great enough to spend more than a day at, Swallow Rock Campground is a great local campground, and soar down the rapids of Seneca Creek in a kayak.
