  We all need to get out in nature once in a while and Mill Ridge Trail in Randolph County, West Virginia is a good choice. Mill Ridge Trail being so far away from the nearest city it is a good trail. High temperatures at Mill Ridge Trail throughout the summertime are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Mill Ridge Trail temperatures fall to the 10's. Some close by water includes Meatbox Run, and a short spree to Kumbrabow Forest Spring is always
    worthwhile.
Camping at Tygart Valley Campground is always a good experience, and Kumbrabow State Forest is a tremendous local forest. Mill Ridge Trail generally gets a great deal of rain; July is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest.
Potatohole
Fork is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at, and float down the rapids of Tygart Valley River in a kayak. Camping is available at Whittaker Campground.
