  A visit to West Virginia is not complete without some hiking. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Mowry Run Trail. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Mowry Run Trail fall into the 10's. Camping is available at Pioneer Campground; the trees of Kumbrabow State Forest are a brilliant source of shade on hot summer days.
A spree to Kumbrabow Forest Spring will fill your spirit with
    delightful feelings. Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Mowry Run Trail in Randolph County, West Virginia is the outdoors at it's best. This river is so perfect. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always
go whitewater paddling on Tygart Valley River, and why not take a little trip to Potatohole Fork if you're here.
Mowry Run Trail is a relatively wet place regularly with lots of rainfall; most of the rain falls during July; February is when it's the driest. Camping at Tygart Valley Campground is always a wonderful experience, and getting to Oxley Run from Mowry Run Trail is painless.
