The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Turkey Run Trail temperatures fall to the 10's.

| campground here, and Big Springs Gap is another pleasant place to visit close by.
That right there is loads already, but it goes on; Turkey Run Trail has it all. You can run the rapids of Cheat River - Shavers Fork near Turkey Run Trail, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Elklick Run Spring. Turkey Run Trail gets a good deal of water; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain while February is usually the driest month.
