Williams River Trail

  You'll have to go far from Clarksburg to get to Williams River Trail but it is a fun place to hike for the whole family. A visit to West Virginia is not complete without some hiking. Paddling on Williams River is so much fun, and there's some flowing water close by, Big Laurel Creek is a stream you can take a look at while here. Soar down the rapids of Tea Creek in a kayak; if you're visiting from Buckeye, you won't be the only one. Camping is available at
    Day Run Campground, and of course Little Laurel Creek flows through this area. Camping at Tea Creek Campground is always a great experience, and visiting Watoga State Park is a great thing to do. And if that's not enough, there's
heaps more to do next to Williams River Trail. For the duration of the summertime months at Williams River Trail temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Williams River Trail are in the 10's. A lot of rain falls at Williams River Trail. July is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is February.
