You'll have to go far from Sheridan to get to Bear Gulch Trail but if you're looking for a good place to go hiking this is a good choice.
There are many hiking trails in the Bighorn Mountains where wonderful nature is waiting for you. Bighorn National Forest is a tremendous place, and you'll
    most likely meet some folks from Big Horn here. Yeah, come up here to the Bighorn Mountains for a splendid time. Camping is available at East Fork Campground, and do explore Diamond Creek since you're here at Bear Gulch Trail. A great
place to camp here at Bear Gulch Trail is Little Goose Campground, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tongue River. A magnificent location for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Bear Gulch Trail is Tongue River. All through the warm months highs here at Bear Gulch Trail reach the 60's, and the overnight is somewhat chillier of course, generally in the 30's. During the winter this place gets highs in the  
20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Bear Gulch Trail. Bear Gulch Trail is commonly a pretty arid site. The wettest month of the year is ordinarily April, that's the one that snows the most, and February is the month with the least moisture.
