Frank Leslie: The Bears Ears trail is superb. My Sierra Club crew did a lot of trail work here near Mt. Chavenet, and built the replacement Moss Creek footbridge. The Washakie Ranger group are great!

Since you're here at Bears Ears Trail why not have a look at Washakie Pass, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Middle Popo Agie River. Bears Ears Trail is pretty dry ordinarily; the month with most of the rain is May while December is frequently the driest month. |

So many entertaining things to do here in the Wind River Range, too fine to be true. Visit Baptiste Creek if you're here at Bears Ears Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Bull Lake Creek offers some great whitewater. In the Wind River Range there are many great hiking
| trails, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. Wyoming has lots of outdoors activities. Through the summer months highs here at Bears Ears Trail reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's while Bears Ears Trail night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. Camping at Big Sandy Campground is always a good experience; a good place to camp here at Bears Ears Trail is Dickinson Creek Campground. | |
