Bears Ears Trail

  The Bears Ears trail is superb. My Sierra Club crew did a lot of trail work here near Mt. Chavenet, and built the replacement Moss Creek footbridge. The Washakie Ranger group are great!

This part of Wyoming has a great deal of available outdoors activities. Finally, hiking time is here again, and Bears Ears Trail in Fremont County, Wyoming is a really good place to spend some time. It's a long drive from Riverton to Bears Ears Trail
    but it is one of many great trails in this area.
In the Wind River Range there are many great hiking trails, it's a great hiking area. Paddling on Middle Popo Agie River is so much fun; Dickinson Creek Campground is a great local
campground. Be careful coming to the Wind River Range, you might not ever want to go back home again. Don't forget to take a tremendous little spree to Baptiste Creek, and why not camp at Big Sandy Campground since you're here at Bears Ears Trail. Everybody loves Shoshone National Forest; whitewater paddling is nice on Bull Lake Creek. A great spot in the vicinity of Bears Ears Trail is Washakie Pass. High temperatures at Bears Ears Trail during the summertime  
months are in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 30's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Bears Ears Trail dip into the 10's. It is very dried up here at Bears Ears Trail mostly.
