  You'll have to go far from Jackson to get to Blackwater Trail but it is a fun place to hike for the whole family. In the Absaroka Range there are many great hiking trails where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. When was the last time you got out in nature a bit? Blackwater Trail in Park County, Wyoming is a good choice. With so many outdoors activities available in Wyoming you'll never get bored.
Getting to Newton Creek from Blackwater Trail
    is painless, and Rex Hale Campground is a magnificent local campground. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Absaroka Range. A short trip to Newton Spring is always worthwhile, and there's whitewater on Shoshone River
- North Fork for all you adrenaline people. If you came for an overnight stay Newton Creek Campground is a pleasant place to camp; get your heart pumping on the pleasant whitewater of Crandall Creek. Some close by water includes West Fork Blackwater Creek. Summer at Blackwater Trail comes with high temperatures in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 30's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Blackwater Trail dipping down into  
the 0's throughout winter nights. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Blackwater Trail. All through June this area sees the most rain, and October is when it's the driest.
