| | Elkhart Loop Ski Trail is a very long way away from civilization and it is a fun place to hike for the whole family. There are many hiking trails in the Wind River Range, it's a great hiking area. Elkhart Loop Ski Trail gets very little rainfall; during May this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. There are some fine whitewater spots on Pole Creek; everyone loves Elkhart Park.
