Fire Memorial Trail

  Beautiful views from the clearings. Path must be shared with horses so sometimes hard to hike. Need to watch where you step. Do not attempt to drive road to trail head unless you have a 4-wheel drive. We ended up backing our van down the mountain.

Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the Absaroka Range, it's a great hiking area. A long drive separates Jackson from Fire Memorial Trail, but it sure is a nice trail. Wyoming
    is a good place for outdoors people.
When was the last time you got out in nature a bit? Fire Memorial Trail in Park County, Wyoming is a great place to go. Don't forget to take a fine little trip to West Fork Blackwater Creek;
get yourself into a kayak and hit Shoshone River - North Fork. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the Absaroka Range. It's a great idea to stop by Newton Creek, it's near Fire Memorial Trail, and camping is available at Rex Hale Campground. If you come at the right time of year, Crandall Creek offers some good whitewater. Camping at Newton Creek Campground is always a good experience. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Fire Memorial Trail.  
The month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is October. Summertime highs at Fire Memorial Trail typically tend to be in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows at Fire Memorial Trail during the wintertime mostly dip into the 0's.
