Don't forget to take a splendid little spree to Gannett Creek. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Glacier Trail has to offer, you can camp at Upper Fremont Lake Campground. Glacier Trail is quite far from the nearest urban center and hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is |
a great place to do that. Get dripping wet paddling on Wind River; Backpackers Pass is also a perfect spot to explore.

| the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; overnight lows during the winter for Glacier Trail tend to be in the 10's. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Wind River Range. Glide down the rapids of Pole Creek in a kayak, and Glacier Trail is a glorious place to visit for more than one day, Trails End Campground is a glorious place to camp nearby.
