Because Lakes Trail is very far from civilization hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lakes Trail has to offer, you can camp at Lewis Lake Campground; Snowy Range Pass is also a perfect spot to explore. And that's not all     the things to do here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Lakes Trail is a good spot to camp, Mirror Lake Campground is a good spot; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on North Platte River. It is very dried out here at Lakes Trail typically; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; February is the month with the least moisture.
