At Overland Trail you don’t see much rain; all through the month of July you get the most rain around here while January is frequently the driest month. Grant Creek is a wonderful local stream, and if you came for an overnight stay Tie City Campground is a brilliant place to camp. Overland Trail is close to Dirty Woman Draw which is beyond doubt worth checking out, and Vedauwoo Campground is a tremendous campground here. You     can run the rapids of Cache La Poudre River - North Fork right next door to Overland Trail, and swing by Boulder Creek it's a fine site to check out. Outdoors people generally like this part of Wyoming. Summertime at Overland Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's.
