| | Pole Creek has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by, and Park Loop Ski Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Half Moon Campground is a great local campground. During the warmest time of the year, highs usually are in the 70's at Park Loop Ski Trail, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and night lows at Park Loop Ski Trail during the winter mostly fall into the-10's.
