  This part of Wyoming is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. Many miles from the nearest city you have Piney Creek Trail and it is a fun place to hike for the whole family. Not much rainfall falls here at Piney Creek Trail; the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Through the summertime highs here at Piney Creek Trail get into the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. The cold days of the
    wintertime come with highs in the 30's while Piney Creek Trail nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's.
There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Absaroka Range where beautiful scenery awaits you. A nice spot to camp here at Piney Creek Trail is
Brown Mountain Campground.
Man, is there plenty of enjoyable stuff to do in the Absaroka Range. There's whitewater on Shoshone River - South Fork for all you adrenaline kick people, and perfect water scenery is available at Martin Lake Dam near Piney Creek Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Greybull River; Piney Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth a visit. Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and Piney Creek Trail in Park County, Wyoming is a really good place to spend some
 
time.
There's some flowing water nearby, Jack Creek is a stream you can stop by while you're here; camping at Jack Creek Campground is always a brilliant experience.
