  In the Absaroka Range there are many great hiking trails where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. Put on your hiking shoes and hit the trail, Piney Creek Trail in Park County, Wyoming is such a great place. This part of Wyoming has a great deal of available outdoors activities. Piney Creek Trail is not very near Riverton at all but when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person.
Piney Creek Trail is a
    fine location to visit for more than one day, Brown Mountain Campground is a fine location to camp nearby. Take a little spree to Jack Creek while you're here at Piney Creek Trail, and there's whitewater on Greybull River for all
you adrenaline junkies. Buffalo Bill State Park is both great and scenic, and it's next to Piney Creek Trail, and getting to Piney Creek from Piney Creek Trail is uncomplicated. Jack Creek Campground is a great local campground, and Martin Lake Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. Summertime at Piney Creek Trail comes with high temperatures in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's while  
the cold winter nights at Piney Creek Trail are in the 10's. Piney Creek Trail is usually a relatively dry place. For the duration of the month of May you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is January.
