Pole Creek Trail is pretty dried up commonly; June is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February. So much exciting stuff in the Wind River Range,
| just incredible. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Pole Creek; if you came for an overnight stay Upper Half Moon Campground is a magnificent place to camp. Through the summertime months at Pole Creek Trail highs are generally in the 80's, and the overnight is quite colder of course, commonly in the 40's. During the winter the highs are regularly in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Pole Creek Trail drop into the 10's.
