scab lake trail is not one for the weak, it is a hard climb with outstanding rewards of beauty & huge high powered brialiantly colored brook trout up to 6 lbs that we know of in scab lake! oh almost forgot the last time i went was july 5 it snowed at scab 18 plus inches, i hope that i rememberd to tell that the 11 mile trail to the scab lake is a hard hard climb, i have only made it 3 times to the lake thanks Allen Egle concrete worker & stock car racer Jackson Hole

| | Hey, time for a hike don’t you think? Scab Lake Trail in Sublette County, Wyoming is a perfect place for getting out. Scab Lake Trail is very far from the nearest big city and it is one of many great trails in this area. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Wind River Range. Scab Lake Trail is a perfect site to camp, Boulder Campground is a perfect site, and a tremendous location for whitewater paddling is Pole Creek. During the summer months at Scab Lake Trail temperatures are typically in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 40's. For |
the duration of the wintertime highs are regularly in the 20's with temperatures at Scab Lake Trail dipping down into the-10's all through winter nights.
There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Wind River Range where beautiful scenery awaits you. No chance of getting
| bored in Wyoming if you like the outdoors.
This is such a fun river. Scab Creek Campground is a good campground here; get your heart beating on the brilliant whitewater of Boulder Creek. Around Scab Lake Trail you don’t get a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly May, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest.
