scab lake trail is not one for the weak, it is a hard climb with outstanding rewards of beauty & huge high powered brilliantly colored brook trout up to 6 lbs that we know of in scab lake! oh almost forgot the last time I went was July 5 it snowed at scab 18 plus inches, I hope that I remembered to tell that the 11 mile trail to the scab lake is a hard hard climb, I have only made it 3 times to the lake thanks Allen Eagle concrete worker & stock car racer Jackson Hole

Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and Scab Lake Trail in Sublette County, Wyoming is a perfect place for getting out. If you come at the right time of year, Pole Creek offers some glorious whitewater, and a good spot to camp here at Scab Lake Trail is Scab Creek Campground.

The warmest time of the year at Scab Lake Trail comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and the overnight is quite colder of course, generally in the 40's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Scab Lake Trail descend into the-10's.
