| | Wyoming is a great outdoors state. Summit Lake Trail is quite far from the nearest urban center and hiking it is great fun any time. A river like this is too good to miss. Do set aside some time for Spring Creek Park while you're here at Summit Lake Trail; a magnificent spot for whitewater paddling is Pole Creek. Summit Lake Trail is generally a rather dried out place; May is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

Summertime highs at Summit Lake Trail usually tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are commonly in the 20's; through the dark hours in the winter at Summit Lake Trail temperatures dip to the-10's.
Summit Lake Trail is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Upper Fremont Lake Campground is a wonderful local campground, and in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boulder Creek. | |
