  You'll have to go far from Riverton to get to Venus Basin Trail but it is a good trail. Hiking here in Wyoming is a must. There are many hiking trails in the Absaroka Range where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains.
Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in nature a bit and Venus Basin Trail in Park County, Wyoming is a really good place to spend some time. Stay the night at Double Cabin Campground, and why not take a little spree
    to Haymaker Creek since you're here. These mountains rock, just explore all the cool things to do in the Absaroka Range. Drift down the rapids of Shoshone River - South Fork in a kayak, and Jack Creek Campground is a wonderful campground
nearby. Paddling on Greybull River is so much fun, and Venus Creek is near Venus Basin Trail and is always a pleasure to have a look at. A trip to Venus Basin Trail wouldn’t be complete without a trip to nearby Buffalo Bill State Park. At Venus Basin Trail you don’t see much precipitation. May is the month that gets the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. For the period of the months of summer at Venus Basin Trail temperatures are commonly
