Jack Creek Campground is a great site. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Shoshone River - South Fork. A great spot to stop by next to Zig-Zag Trail is Bull Elk Draw, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Betty Creek.
| Throughout the summertime months highs here at Zig-Zag Trail reach the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Zig-Zag Trail dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. In the Absaroka Range you'll find lots of hiking trails where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. Zig-Zag Trail is a location that is relatively waterless commonly; all through the month of May you get the most rain around here; January meanwhile is the driest month.
