| | Swamp Trail is a long drive away from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria but many people like to hike here to be close to nature. This part of District of Columbia is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. Stay the night at Cherry Hill Park. Yep, outdoors fun things to do are truly plentiful here at Swamp Trail. If you come at the right time of year, Rock Creek offers some great whitewater, and while you're here you must take a look at The Mole.

Rock Creek is in the neighborhood of Swamp Trail and is always a joy to check out. Swamp Trail gets a normal amount of rain; all through May this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is February. Pentagon Lagoon Yacht Basin is a pretty location in the vicinity of Swamp
| Trail; Swamp Trail is right next door to Rock Creek Valley which is positively worth visiting.
The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Swamp Trail, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's; nighttime lows at Swamp Trail through the winter typically dip into the 20's. Bathing Beach is next to Swamp Trail and is a pretty beach to go to, and there are plenty of people from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria here.
