| | It's a long drive from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria to White Horse Trail but hiking it is great fun any time. Throughout the warmest time of the year, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at White Horse Trail. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at White Horse Trail are in the 20's. There's so much to do here at White Horse Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Cherry Hill Park is a delightful place for that, and a short tour to Jumpin' Jack Spring is always |
worthwhile.
Some nearby water includes Silver Spring Branch, and time spent at Bathing Beach is always great. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to White Horse Trail. Pinehurst Branch is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting.
| Glide down the rapids of Rock Creek in a kayak, and the fine people of Washington-Arlington-Alexandria like to hang out nearby.
White Horse Trail gets a common amount of yearly rainfall; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. District of Columbia has lots of outdoors activities. All our national parks are glorious spots to stop at, and Glen Echo Park is no exception, and White Horse Trail is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Harmony Place Trailer Park is a glorious local campground.
