Brooklyn Trail

  A long drive separates Durango from Brooklyn Trail, but it's one of those places where hiking is great. A visit to Brooklyn Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Chattanooga Hot Spring. U S Basin is a picturesque site any time of year, and close by Browns Gulch is a glorious site to go. Take a side tour to Middle Fork Mineral Creek, and there's whitewater on Animas River for all you adrenaline people. Why not camp at Molas Lake Park since you're
    here at Brooklyn Trail; swing by Mill Creek it's a great spot to check out. Red Mountain Motel and RV Park is a splendid local campground, and there are some good whitewater spots on Mineral Creek - South. If you want a good time
in the great outdoors, just come on down to Brooklyn Trail. This is a popular site for people from Silverton. At Brooklyn Trail you donít see much rainfall. The month with most of the rain is August; June is when it's the driest. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Brooklyn Trail while overnight lows are mostly in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and night lows through the winter for Brooklyn Trail tend to be in the 0's.
