Devil Mountain Trail

Are horses allowed on the trails?
Says Paul Holloway

It's a long drive from Durango to Devil Mountain Trail but hiking it is great fun any time. If you are in Colorado during hiking season you have to go hiking. There are many wonderful hiking trails in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains.
Spending too much time indoors got you down? No problem, Devil Mountain Trail in Archuleta County, Colorado
is just what you need. Ford Spring is always fun to check out, and at Devil Mountain Trail you always meet someone from Chimney Rock. That right there is heaps of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the San Juan and Jemez Mountains
has it all. Why not camp at Piedra Hunter Campground if you're here at Devil Mountain Trail, and in the event that you donít have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Piedra River. A fine place to camp here at Devil Mountain Trail is Mesa Spring Hunter Campground, and whitewater paddling is good on Piedra River. Put some time aside to spend at Horse Mountain Springs while you're here at Devil Mountain Trail. While you're here at
Devil Mountain Trail it's a pleasant idea to take a look at Monument Park. Devil Mountain Trail gets a common amount of annual rain. The wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most while June is generally the driest month.
