Hammond Trail   This part of Colorado is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. It's a long drive from Edwards to Hammond Trail but it is a good trail. Looking for some flowing water? Try Little Gunnison Creek. Paddling on Anthracite Creek - Ruby Fork is so much fun; hey, Cliff Creek is a good local stream. Hammond Trail is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je West is a perfect place to camp nearby. Gunnison River - North Fork has a great     whitewater paddling spot close by, and you'll most likely meet some folks from Somerset here. Hammond Trail is in close proximity to Gunnison National Forest which is a beautiful spot, and you can stay the night at Lost Lake Campground. Yep, outdoors fun stuff to do are in fact bountiful here at Hammond Trail. For the duration of the days of summer here at Hammond Trail, high temperatures usually get into the 70's, and the night is fairly chillier of course, regularly in the 40's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows all through the wintertime for Hammond Trail tend to be in the-10's. At Hammond Trail you don’t see much rain.
