Hooper Trail
| | Gotta get out of the city man, and Hooper Trail in Park County, Colorado is just what you need. There are many hiking trails in the Front Range where wonderful nature is waiting for you. Colorado is a great outdoors state. Hooper Trail is located quite a long drive from Boulder but hiking along this trail is very enjoyable. Pike National Forest is a magnificent place; South Platte River - North Fork is a tremendous whitewater spot nearby. So much entertaining |
stuff to do in the Front Range, not sufficient time. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Hooper Trail has to offer, you can camp at Bison Peak Lodge. If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater
| paddling on South Platte River - North Fork. South Fork Lost Creek is a good spot to explore, and Lost Park is a wonderful place any time of year. North Fork Lost Creek is a wonderful local stream; you'll meet a lot of folks from Bailey here. And that's not all you can do here at Hooper Trail. A pleasant place near Hooper Trail is Willow Gulch, and you can stay the night at Lost Park Campground. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Front Range. | |

Summertime at Hooper Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and the nighttime is rather cooler of course, usually in the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Hooper Trail temperatures dip to the 0's.
