Loop Trail   There are many hiking trails in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, it's a great hiking area. Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and Loop Trail in Saguache County, Colorado is just what you need. Pretty far from Canon City you find Loop Trail but hiking it is always fun. Hiking in Colorado is such a great thing to do. Loop Trail is a site with many visitors from Crestone, and a tour to Groundhog Basin revives the soul. Whohoo, so many exciting     things in one place! The Sangre De Cristo Mountains rocks! It's a great idea to stop at Middle Fork North Crestone Creek, it's right next door to Loop Trail, and if time allows, Great Sand Dunes National Monument is a national park worth a visit. Don't forget to take a tremendous little visit to Lake Fork North Crestone Creek, and Lake Creek Campground is a nice local campground. Rio Grande National Forest is a good location to stretch your legs a bit, and nearby you hit upon Venable Pass which is a fine place to explore. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things to do are really abundant here at Loop Trail. If you came for an overnight stay North Crestone Campground is a splendid location to camp. Loop   Trail gets very little precipitation. The month with most of the rain is August while January is usually the driest month. Summertime at Loop Trail comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's.
