Mesa Trail   The Mesa trail is an urban hikers dream. Connecting Eldorado canyon to Chatauqua with a very scenic 10 mile trail makes it hard to imagine so much open park land minutes away from the urban corridor. Either way is a great hike, a good start hike in the spring but there it just gets better. Work you way to Green mountain, then Bear and then Bear via Fern canyon. You'll fall in love with this place. It should be noted that there are lots of wild animals there.     Saw a bear twice one morning, we kept intersecting the trail at the same time as it was. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in nature a bit and Mesa Trail in Boulder County, Colorado is a really good place to spend some time. In the Front Range there are many great hiking trails where beautiful scenery awaits you. Why not camp at Golden Gate while you're here at Mesa Trail; the great folks of Eldorado Springs like to hang out nearby. These mountains rock, just explore all the fun stuff to do in the   Front Range. Visit Spring Brook if you're here at Mesa Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Boulder Creek. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Eldorado Springs; drift down the rapids of Boulder Creek - South in a kayak. A glorious place like Eldorado State Park close to Mesa Trail is too delightful to leave out, and a great site to stop by nearby is Bear Canyon.
