Minnesota Pass Trail

A visit to Colorado is not complete without some hiking. Minnesota Pass Trail is a long drive away from Montrose but it is one of many great trails in this area. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Anthracite Creek - Ruby Fork. Camping is available at Smith Fork Campground, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Gunnison River - North Fork. Places like Gunnison National Forest are good to stop by; getting
to Browning Creek from Minnesota Pass Trail is simple. If you came for an overnight stay Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je West is a good place to camp, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Spruce Creek. If you fancy a little side journey,
try Hoodon Gap. Minnesota Pass Trail gets very little rainfall. All through October this area sees the most rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month. All through the warm months at Minnesota Pass Trail highs are usually in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are generally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Minnesota Pass Trail are in the 10's.
