Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Rio de los Pinos. First Meadows is right here at Posos Trail, and South Elk Creek is in the vicinity of Posos Trail and is always a bliss to explore. Summer brings highs in the 60's to Posos Trail, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Posos Trail. Posos   Trail generally gets much rainfall.
