South Fork Trail   Finally, hiking time is here again, and South Fork Trail in Grand County, Colorado is just what you need. Colorado is a great place for hikers. South Fork Trail is not very near Silverthorne at all but hiking it is always fun. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the Park Range where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. Stay the night at Byers Creek Campground, and the trees of Arapaho National Forest are a nice source of shade     on hot summer days. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Park Range has to offer. Paddling on Clear Creek - West Fork is so much fun, and at South Fork Trail you always meet someone from Dillon. Arapaho National Forest is a good spot; get covered with water paddling on Woods Creek. Sugarloaf Campground is a fine campground nearby. All through the summer at South Fork Trail highs are mostly in the 70's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 30's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and nighttime lows at South Fork Trail throughout the winter mostly dip into the-10's. At South Fork Trail you don’t see much rainfall.
