Spruce Hole Trail   While I have not had the pleasure of hiking any of its trails yet, I look forward to camping in this area. I ''scouted'' the dirt road into the Spruce Hole exit off of the main road. It is very lovely through this piece of wilderness. Lots of healthy pines, wildflowers, and plenty of wildlife too. Sorry I don't have any pictures, but if you're thinking about camping or hiking here... I highly suggest that you do! Says Rachel This part of Colorado is     always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. A long drive separates Espanola from Spruce Hole Trail, but if you're looking for a good place to go hiking this is a good choice. Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and Spruce Hole Trail in Conejos County, Colorado is a perfect place for getting out. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains where beautiful scenery awaits you. Looking for some flowing water? Try La Manga Creek, and you can stay the night at Ponderosa Campground. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. A pleasant tour to Spruce Hole is a glorious way to spend an afternoon; close by you   come across great spots like La Manga Pass. There are some good whitewater spots on Rio de los Pinos; during your spree here you'll meet some folks from Antonito for sure. There's so much to do here at Spruce Hole Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Spectacle Lake Campground is a nice spot for that.
